The rag-tag group from Monmouth traveled 50 miles to the north to encounter what would become an epic battle between four warring bands of people. The first to arrive had traveled from a place called Southwest Harbor, and with itchy trigger fingers, they were also the first to pierce the still silence of the night. For this, they became known as SALVO.The next band of debaucherists would not be frightened by the sound and fury of the first shots of the night. And with a less than puritan cry by their leader Father Trav, they threw their balled hands into the air and unleashed a melee of sound of their own brand. They became known as SINFIST.The third band was led by three young whippersnappers with a thirst for adventure. They appeared in a different shape than in the past, but no less deadly. Like the Asgardian God of mischief, madness, and evil, the others soon became aware of the treachery of LOKI.Nevertheless, with purpose in their hearts, our band of heroes known as COLONBLOW took to the stage of twisted metal and melted faces with a healing power that the others did not possess. Evoking Wild Memories of Empty Wagons, they were determined to turn the tide of The Devil with a Better Way. "Let's Get Dirty!" cried their leader, as they continued the fight for the top spot. This continued through the evening as they sang of Tacos, "mammaries," and Pretty "Witches" (for this was to be a curse free affair, save perhaps for Father Trav). The night wore on, and the Xtreme Women danced with great abandon, until the final colon-blow blew the rest of the competition out of the arena. And as such, victory went to the band with the most fiber in their diet.Is this how it will go down? Will the merry band of men from Monmouth prevail in this battle to end all bad run on sentences? Will the bass player from ColonBlow finally seek the help he so desperately needs? Come join this Sunday at 8 P.M. in Skowhegan to find out…
